SHAPING I
Shaping I (previously known as “Meet your Idol”) is an inspirational-motivational talk session where we bring in well-established personals to tell their stories of struggle and challenges and at the same time how they overcame them. This became our favourite project after receiving tremendous positive feedback from the students as well as the teachers. Every episode of Shaping I accommodates at least 80 – 120 students.

FAGI UNPLUGGED
It is a project taken up as an initiative to encourage all the talented people with comedy sides to showcase their talents in front of the people. The community started up this show for the very first time in the state. The first round of the audition was held successfully on 14th Oct at Imphal Night Plaza. Our very popular film actor Bony Sharma, Nokphade film producer, Ruhinikumar Thoudam and the Curator of Global Shapers Community, Imphal Elizabeth Okram were the judges of the audition. People from various walks of life took part in the first audition and enjoyed the comedy show that evening.
TALK OF THE TOWN
Many problems and issues happen in our society and to understand the reason behind these problems there is a need to see things from each others’ shoe. Opinions differ from individual to individual and “Talk of the Town” is a platform where leaders / experts / renowned individuals are invited to share their opinions and views on a topic. The programme focuses on topics of local concern which affects the residents of Manipur. The purpose is to share information from invitees (speakers) to attendees and attendees to invitees (speakers), in other words to give information and to get information.

KABUI KHULLEN REHABILITATION
On 4th of January, 2016 the earth shook with a magnitude of 6.8 Richter scale in Manipur, and the epicenter happened to be at a village called Kabul Khullen Part-1 in Tamenglong district. It is at the peak of neighboring Naga Ching (Naga Hills) which is at a distance of 30 km from Noney Bazaar up the steep, narrow and rough path.The village comprised of about 55 household and 400 members.

SHAPING HEALTH
In association with Iboyaima Hospital and Research Centre, Global Shapers Community, Imphal Hub organised free eye camps cum surgery at Ningthoukhong on October 18 and 23 .
The camp saw an overwhelming turn out of over 200 patients within three hours, said a press release.
Some opthalmologists and specialists attended to the patients. 22 patients were identified for surgery and 10 of them had undergone cataract operation at Iboyaima hospital and the remaining operations are expected to be done shortly, added the press release.
BLEED WITH PRIDE
“Bleed With Pride” is an educational workshop on Menstrual Awareness, Management and Hygiene.
The project addresses “Equity and Inclusion- social inclusion and health equity”.
The project focus areas are-

Optimizing the girl’s lives by removing barriers related to menstruation thereby attending school throughout year.

Removing the social stigma of considering menstruating girls or women impure and untouchable.

SHAPING ENVIRONMENT
Manipur is no exception to the effect of global warming and climate change. Scientist and Researchers projects an average temperature about 1.7 C to increase in all districts of Manipur. Climate change and deforestation have vanished many springs in the state and has created critical problems in hill district like Ukhrul where spring is the main source of water. Wildfire, single plastic usage, unsegregated waste and rise in vehicle pollution are other some of the main factors which pollute our environment further leading to rise in temperature.
To make a tangible contribution in fighting the above issues, SHAPING ENVIRONMENT was initiated on 15th May’2018. Since initiation, about 6,350 saplings been planted, over 3,000 seed bomb and seeds distributed, 90 planters installed on up-cycled waste plastic bottles at the side wall of Khuman Lampak Stadium Entrance, awareness on climate change been conducted at schools, community centers and churches.

ECO BAG
Feeling the threat and responsibility to not contribute to the issue anymore, our hub team decided to put our foot down and commit to pro-actively be a part of the movement against PLASTIC POLLUTION
This project aims to tell everyone the story of the earth when plastic takes over delivering a sense of responsibility to do their part and put a stop to using a single-use plastics and polythene bags from our daily lives and replacing them with a reusable cloth bag instead, saving the planet from our share of the plastic dump.

I CARE
The Covid-19 pandemic has hampered the mental state of everyone around the world. Parents, guardian, teachers are likely to experience significant stress during this time with managing their own stress while also modeling the children. The convenience of visiting a clinic and reaching out to others to be taken care is no longer in the picture; it is time we learn to take care of ourselves.
To address this in our community, Imphal Hub along with Surat Hub conducted a series of webinars to understand types of mental health issues and their symptoms, provide guidance and support with self-coping mechanism and strategies for a more favorable tomorrow. The goal of the project is to provide a platform for vulnerable individuals to ask for help, share their practices and stories to help oneself and others around them. Imphal Hub is also collecting data using survey questionnaires from various regions to further understand the issue and the collected data will be used to draw up better tools to handle mental health issues.

SHARING VALUES
Schools in rural, conflict zone have unique set of problems to solve inorder to improve the quality of school education. One of the many problems is upgrading the knowledge of school teachers to keep pace with the changing trends. Training and awareness session on ICT, Innovative teaching learning methodologies are essential ingredients to improve the quality of learning for school children.
Our project will serve as a reinforcement of qualitative improvement in school education through means of interaction, activity, and the sharing of ideas and know-how with school teachers.
